Free OH CDL Tanker Vehicles Practice Test 2024

Anyone who wants to become a tanker truck driver in Ohio must obtain a Tank Vehicles (N) endorsement on their Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Applicants must pass the Tank Vehicles knowledge test, which covers topics like the dynamics of liquid movement in tanks, safe driving practices, loading and unloading procedures, and handling emergency situations. All aspects of this endorsement can be found in the official 2024 CDL manual (Ohio CDL Handbook 2024), which is an essential learning resource. However, the most ambitious students will expand their horizons and make good use of our CDL Tanker Vehicles endorsement practice tests that are specific to the state of Ohio.

These practice tests can be a game-changer for someone who feels stuck in their learning journey. Now you can evaluate your knowledge in a test environment that closely reflects the one at the BMV location. Each practice test has been updated for December 2024, and all 20 questions are based on the CDL manual. To pass, you’ll need to score at least 80%. Our helpful AI coach will be present during your training sessions. You can ask for a hint, request real-life examples, or even start a one-on-one conversation.

Liquid cargo can shift and significantly affect the stability of your vehicle. Liquid surge can move the truck in the direction the liquid waves move, requiring you to drive carefully. Surge can be especially hazardous on icy roads, where a truck may be pushed forward past a red light into an intersection. That’s why you must fully master the various aspects of the “N” endorsement, so when you get behind the wheel of an actual tanker, you’ll know exactly what to do in every situation.

Ohio is one of the top 10 states in the United States for corn production, where tankers often transport liquid nitrogen fertilizers to farms across the state. There are plenty of employment opportunities for future tanker drivers, but you will also need the HazMat (H) endorsement to transport hazardous liquids or gaseous materials that are toxic to humans or the environment.
